The All-Ukrainian Competition of Composers "Ukrainian Concert Overture" to the 30th Independence of Ukraine ends with a final concert with the participation of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and the National Chapel "DUMKA".
The team of the Open Music of the City Charitable Foundation began preparations for the 30th anniversary of Independence a year ago - in August 2020, becoming the organizer of the first All-Ukrainian competition for composers "Ukrainian Concert Overture".
The competition was supported by partners - law firm ASTERS, JETSETTER.UA and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, which are the authors of the idea of the competition.
During the year and hard work, the organizers received 37 scores. Of these, 6 composers reached the finals of the competition and their works were recorded in the House of Sound Recording by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the direction of Volodymyr Sirenko.
It will soon be known who will be the winner of the competition and whose works will be performed in the program of the holiday concert.
In addition to the overture winners, the concert program will feature classics by Ukrainian and European composers performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and the national choir "DUMKA".
