At the final event of the International Festival Kyiv Spring Sound 2024, the band "DUMKA" will perform on the same stage with the Spanish violinist Leticia Moreno, who made her debut on the Kyiv Philharmonic stage in November 2019.
One of the brightest violinists of her generation, laureate of international competitions, winner of numerous national and international awards, Leticia studied with the famous professor Zahar Bron at the Queen Sofia School of Music in Madrid and the Cologne School of Music. She took lessons from Maksym Vengerov at the Saarbrucken High School of Music, graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (D. Takeno's class). She also took lessons from Mstislav Rostropovich. Leticia Moreno plays a unique instrument - a violin of 1762, created by Stradivari's student, the Italian Niccolò Galliano.
The Spanish Symphony by the Frenchman Edouard Lalot will be performed in her performance, and this work will be surrounded by powerful pieces for orchestra and choir. At the beginning, the tense symphonic drama No. 8 by our contemporary Viktor Stepurk will be played. And the concert will end with light and solemn works on spiritual themes - by the Frenchman Poulenc and the Ukrainian Bortnyanskyi.
