Wiener Konzerthaus
The "DUMKA" chapel with the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Oksana Liniv will perform the Kaddish-Requiem of Stankovych's "Babyn Yar" on the stage of the Wiener Konzerthaus.
"Babyn Yar" is a work by Yevhen Stankovych for the reader, soloists, choir and orchestra. This work is dedicated to the tragic events of occupied Kyiv during the Second World War. In 1941, more than 33,000 Jews were brutally murdered by the nazi invaders in the Babyn Yar tract.
The piece will be performed as part of the Vienna Festival under the direction of the world-famous Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv.
